Accelerating the adoption of digital — software, data and AI — technologies in industry and society.
reflection

It’s a Copernicum revolution

With all the talk about AI versus humanity, I think it is good to focus on what will stay the same. All the ladders on Maslow hierarchy of needs stay valid. We need air, food and shelter. We want to feel secure and healthy. We want to feel loved by our close friends and family and love them. We crave recognition and reputation and status. We want to self-actualize. The hundreds of thousands of years of human evolution and the millions of years of mammal evolution before that will not be changed on a dime because of AI. And in the end, all technology, including AI, is and should be in service of humans and not the other way around. What will change is how we express and realize our needs. Houses will get better. Our health and life expectancy will improve. Our ability to stay connected to friends and family, especially those far away, gets better through technology. And, of course, the way we express status will for sure change. But in many ways, we are going through a Copernicum revolution. In some ways everything changes, but in other ways everything stays the same.
