One of the most powerful inhibitors for change is the fear associated with losing what you have. Our tribal history is in part to blame for that as losing is often associated with a fear of being ostracised from the tribe which was a death sentence for most of the millenia that humanity has been in existence. In modern society, losing what you have is simply the first step in a change. Hopefully, towards something better. And rather than having it taken away from you, it is better to give it up voluntarily. So, my question to you today is: what are you willing to give up in order to create space for change and something new? How will you manage the irrational fear that comes with your endeavour into the unknown? As Steve Jobs so beautifully said: we are already naked!
