What scares you?

During the millenia that humans have been around on this planet, we have developed instincts and behaviors that often are driven by fear. Fear is a powerful emotion and typically signals something that provides an existential risk. For most of history and prehistory, we were likely to die at the hands of other humans or predators that thought we were as tasty as the next prey. And even non-physical risks, like things affecting our reputation and standing in the tribe, were actually existential risks as being thrown out was a death sentence. The instincts and behaviors are still with us today and cause us to avoid many situations because our fear pushes us in the other direction. However, in modern life there are very, very few existential risks and most scary situations actually offer an opportunity for growth and development. So, if we want something but getting from here or there scares us, we probably should overcome our fear and do it anyway. The downside risk often is highly limited and the upside significant. So, what scares you? And should you maybe do it anyway?
