As Peter Drucker famously wrote, it is not the things that you don’t know that are threatening. It is the things that you know for sure are true, but that prove to be incorrect. We tend to proceed too long in directions we are certain of, despite mountain evidence to the contrary. From Nokia executives that told me that nobody in their right mind wants to touch the screen of their phone to car executives claiming that these upstart brands from China would never pose a risk, it is the things we know for sure but that are false which hurt us. So, my challenge for you today is: are you sure? Are you really sure? How do you that you can be sure? What would happen if you would be wrong?
