When I was young, my grandmother often complained about the changes in the world happening faster and faster. In my youthful arrogance, I thought that she simply was old (she was). But the fact is that changes in industry and society are occurring more frequent and faster and societal adoption is increasingly rapid. Simply look at the adoption numbers for ChatGPT. Most of this is driven by digital technologies such as software, data and AI. The question is whether YOU are accelerating as well or if you’re stuck in the past. Darwin wrote about “survival of the fittest”. But these days it’s more about “survival of the fitting” - do you manage to change fast enough to maintain a spot for yourself in the business ecosystem?
